New York Auto Insurance regulations:
New York state requires that all drivers carry auto liability coverage, uninsured motorist bodily injury coverage, and personal injury protection in order to register a vehicle. New York determines auto insurance rates based on driving record, age, area you live in, and the type of vehicle you drive. You may want to consider higher coverages than the state minimums.
